Spider Bites

My kid just got bitten by a spider the other day. It started off tiny, and two days later.....wholly crap!!! Scared the life out of me, it got so big so fast! Luckily, the swelling went down, but it spread so fast, I didn't know what to do. No side effects or anything, but that makes you think twice about your kid playing outside. Seems lately, there is always something to fear out in your own yard around your kids.  That combined with the heat, and the threat of West Nile Virus, its almost impossible to let your kids play~anyone else going throught this experience?

My advice is to not mess around with a spider bite. Get to the doctor or emergency room. They can be as bad as a snake bite.

Good News, she is doing much better now, it appears that maybe a wolf spider got under her shirt when she was playing her sandbox, and she swiped at it, and she got one fang all the way in, and one fang nicked her. I am so glad that she is doing better. Benadryl brought down the swelling, and she got plenty of rest.

Don't mess around with a spider bite. I was bit  by a spider and let it go for a couple of days, by the time I went to the er the second time I had to have emergency surgery just to save my life. Not fun. Very scary.
