I've worked on it a little bit, nothing too serious, but only got as far back as my great grandparents.  I have an aunt who is really into genealogy.

My. oldest daughter started researching our history and found information dating all the way back to the 1500's.  Interesting stuff.   :peace:

Where and how do you find out about your own family history (genealogy)? I would like to find out about mine too.

There are several online websites to search for family history.  Most of them charge a fee.  The one I use the most is Ancestry.com.  After using several over the years, Ancestry has the most data and is the easiest (for me) to navigate.  It probably costs more than most of the others - depending on what you want, national or international data, between $150 and $250 a year.  You can also get free trials with most of them, which I recommend.  This makes it easier to learn all about what the website will do for you before you decide if you want to join.  I have been doing family research for several years now, and I love it!!!

I don't have any relatives from major historical events but I have two big ol' books featuring family history including photos and stories about each.. it's really great!
