voter registration
« on: July 05, 2012, 06:57:28 am »
A representative came to our apartment complex to verify registered voters.
I found absentee ballot was helpful the last election since my handicap makes it difficult to handle crowds.

I so need to register to vote in this area.  I was registered while going to college, but now I've gotten married and moved.  It just seems to be one of those things that keeps getting put on the back burner.

I use an absentee ballot simply because between work and school I am usually super busy so it is just easier to mail in my vote.

I've been a registered voter for years and when our 3 girls got old enough we encouraged them to register to vote.  Now, I need to encourage our future son-in-law to register.  I consider voting a very important thing to do, especially the country being in the shape it is in now.

If you don't vote you can't complain about who wins. I have voted ever since i was old enough. Sometimes your vote counts and sometimes not. But i try.

I have a sign on my door. WARNING: My dog eats every third canvasser. The second one just left.

The door bell plays a chime and then plays a dog barking.... I got to door just in time to see a lady make a bee-line to the street and hurdles my 3 feet high shrubs, and tears off down the street. When a second woman comes and rings the bell she couldn't stop laughing... They were registering voters.

I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

I don't believe any of that story.

I really need to get around to changing my address for my election material. When I first registered I was stay in college dorms so everything was sent there. Now it's sent from that dorm to the second dorm I lived in back to my home address. Now that I moved everything gets forwarded to several places before it gets to me which is typically very late.

I get that in the mail but never do it because I think I don't know much about politics and I might end up voting the wrong candidate, you never know right?
