Bad Language
« on: October 14, 2012, 05:41:08 pm »
Is it me or is there way to much bad language in movies and TV these day. It is fine if you are trying to make a point or maybe a joke but just to write it into the script as part of the dialogue is ridiculous. :angry7:

I guess its a sign of the times. People are looser with everything (mouth and body) than in the past. Truthfully, people you dont hear talking like that in so called polite company, willsometimes talk like that in a different circle of friends. When I was a Deputy working in the jail, it was FBombs all over the place (myself included). But at home or in my other environments I did not talk like that. It was relative to the environment I was in. You hear it a lot in cop movies..we really do talk like that with each other.

No wonder more and more people have trash mouth.  It is so prevalent now that some people, teenagers for example, think it is cute or funny.  I have watched movies that had a moderate amount of bad language, and I have never taken up the habit.  I don't think it adds anything at all to a normal conversation.  And people who talk that way in front of children should be horsewhipped (or at least arrested).

It's just the way of the world now I don't understand I know there are better ways to express yourself than with bad language

Nudity and offensive language has definitely increased in movies and music. Whats wrong is now being viewed as being right.

Why do we say it's just the way the world is now?  We don't have to do what everybody else does.  I'd rather be different.  I can't see how you command respect by being vulgar.

we were't raised with bad language and i am sure a lot of other people weren't either. Man our mouths would have been washed out with soap. I usually find myself being very unconfortable around it. There are times you just can't get away from it. If at all possible iw ill walk away from the person using it, because it seems if you say something about it they get worse.
