Slowly but surely I'm confident it will be. There's no legitimate argument against it. The only arguments against it (which are not legitimate at all) are religious ones. Personal religion has no bearing on our laws. Not saying religious zealots don't ignore that, just saying, they're not supposed to force their religious views down others' throats by law.

Most Christians are cafeteria Christians who pick and choose what they want to adhere to. When they bring up homosexuality in the bible, I bring up stoning disobedient children in the bible. Either be consistent and advocate stoning (which the bible prescribes for damn near everything) or admit that you get your religion from a buffet and sit your hypocritical butt down.

probably one day, but not soon.  it took women 150 yrs to get to vote.  it took almost as long to end slavery.  change frightens most people i think

I agree with the previous statements.  Such restrictions to unions will be gone, but time it will take.  Lots of time.  It's an agrument with brings up personal biases and other emotions....often ones which individuals refuse to recognize or work through.
I also think the tax codes will have to change as well. It's a little thing compared to the religious point of view against gay marriage.  But for those who have issues with the benefits of marriage, well, the issues regarding the benefits will need to be alternated to include all with any state license or none.

Yes and I hope I am around to see it.  It's so sad to think that we are still going to be debating this in my lifetime.
