Oh...great question...this is a funny spot in my relationship.  My boyfriend and I usually love to get into the kitchen together and create.  But, NOT when it comes to soups, that's a rule made for a reason.  I am too picky about my soups and I stick so close to what I was taught in my Grandmother's kitchen.  If he wants to throw this and that in a pot, then, okay (when it's his turn to cook) ...but my soups are a work of art and he will admit it. He has bragged on them numerous times. His favorite is my beef and mushroom soup.

not from scratch, but I do take the smaller pieces that I have and put them in a bag and keep them until I need them, but I do not throw any soap away
No one is talking about soap lol !

I love homemade soups too!!!

I make my own noodles and broth for my chicken noodle soup .... SO  GOOD!!!!!!   I make a lot of different soups like vegetable, Potato Soup, Corn Chowder, Chicken Vegetable, Orzo and Chicken ..... that is my favorite thing about cold weather is a good excuse for a hot bowl of soup with some fresh cornbread or thick chewy bread.

I wish I knew how to make my own noodles, I have been told it is very time consuming but worth it. I just haven't tried it yet. I always end up making homemade bread to go with my soup instead. :)

It does take a while to make your own noodles. Most of the time is spent waiting for them to dry though.

I co make homemade soups all the time!  I just made split pea the other day and potato soup a few weeks ago.  I always make soup from the Turkey frame at Thanksgiving and just make a Chicken Noodle soup from a roasted chicken frame a month ago.  I, too, like other members do not use a recipe, but make it up as I go.  Some soups that I make often I have a standard set of ingredients I use, but everything is done to the eye and taste.  Would love to see you share your recipe!
