I like that quote. He seems to have a good grasp of the human need for change but wanting things always better. The two do not always happen together. Hence "The grass is a;ways greener on the other side of the fence."

I think it was a misnomer; things cannot get better if they remain the same.  A more accurate way of putting it would be that "anyone desiring change is really wanting a change for the better when it could as easily go in the opposite direction."  The inherent 'hope' being for change for the better.

The two do not always happen together. Hence "The grass is a;ways greener on the other side of the fence."

One aspect of change is that sometimes, things seem to be changing for the worse but allow for new possibilities to change for the better, (had things remained the same, such possibilities may not have arisen).  Of course, things can change for the worse without benefit or, for what seems to be for the better, (but ends up being for the worse).  That is the nature of change.

Change is gonna happen, I'm afraid.  It can be frustrating and get on your last nerve at times, but--there's no doubt it will happen.  Change isn't necessarily bad, but sometimes it is easier to hold onto what is familiar even if you aren't all that crazy about it.  You have to let go to leave the comfort zone; therein lies the dilemma.

I understand what you're talking about, but change it inevitable. Things do change even if we don't want them to. But also, change is good.

i never liked the phrase get out of your comfort zone it's the new having closer. i don't like change unless i won the lottery then i'd get out of my comfort zone and really change
