can I get paid by paper check?

Yes. Click Account up top, then click Account Information on the left hand side of the page, and change your payment preference to check.

My first payments I requested the on paper check

and now I get paid in my paypal account. YES you can get checks.

Initially I preferred paper check but now I am more trusting of them doing it via direct deposit.
