Great movie... one of my favorites too.  Its actually a remake of 'The Last Man on Earth' starring Vincent Price.  Unfortunately Will Smith did that terrible remake a few years ago.  Awful.

Charlton Heston did a great job in "Omega Man" much like he did in the monkey movie. However, my favorite of his movies like that was "Solyent Green" with Edward G. Robinson. His famous last line in the movie was "Solyent Green is PEOPLE."

yes saw it several times since it was released like the movie Charleton Heston was a great actor.
