About FC "Shopping Mall"....
« on: March 14, 2012, 05:26:37 pm »
I don't think I've seen this asked anywhere here before, so here goes:

Do you HAVE to install the toolbar to shop and get rewards @ FC? Or can you use the shopping mall without installing the toolbar, and get the $$ "benefits"?

I just assumed you had to install it, because everyone who talked about it referred to using the toolbar with it.

But I'm wondering if that was maybe an incorrect assumption??

The toolbar is NOT required for to earn cashback at the mall.

You can earn cashback without the toolbar if and only if you click through to the merchant on the FC Mall page and make an eligible purchase.

The toolbar is recommended because it will automatically give you cashback at lots of stores, so you don't have to remember to shop through the mall.  For example, if you visit walmart.com, the toolbar will alert you to the fact that you're earning x% cashback automatically.

With the toolbar, every time I log onto a site that offers cash back, it is automatically there--I don't have to log on here and then find my site.  If that makes sense?  It is very convenient, and it also pops up sometimes when I don't expect it, to let me know there is an offer associated with the site I'm on--which could be very lucrative in savings if I were to decide to stay and shop.
