im a veteran who floated the Gulf in the 80's. im very proud of our men and women who are fighting for freedom. i fear though, that we are in a futile situation. america(230 yrs old) is a little arrogant to think we can change the views and outlooks of countries that are 1000's of yrs old. i'll never say our people have died in vane, just seems like a fruitless belief.

It's sad that we sent our troops to fight the wrong war.  I hope they can all come home soon.  God bless them all.
