Usually I have it with melted cheese on top. I have had it with cream cheese and butter as well but I like melted cheese on it the best. Having cream cheese then sliced cheese melted is really good as well.

Absolutely Butter, I do not care for cream cheese at all.  Actually a cranberry walnut bagel with butter sounding really good!

I like a plain bagel toasted with butter and liverwurst. Another option would be honey turkey, butter and mayo. Yum yum
