Do you have an accent? How do we get accents? why is it people from the south or from the east have them, but people from say the midwest dont? How does this happen? Does anyone know? :dontknow:

If a person speaks with an accent, it is because they grew up in an environment where that accent is common.

It's intriguing how some people will pick up/adopt a new accent if those around them speak with one and some people won't.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Technically everyone has an accent. The midwest is called the neutral accent, but there are different accents around here.

:bunny:I agree that everyone has an accent depending where your from....people from the big city might talk to fast...people from the city walk too fast or talk too fast...according to people down state who walk slow and with southern accents..to me it's a wonderful variety of people and languages
