Just Talking to People

I am really amazed. When I decide to go out and just talk to people, and really listen to them. Sometimes I hear there complaints, there *bleep* attitudes, and make rash decisions about "shoot, man he/she is a b... ", but then after listening and talking and asking questions about them, not trying to insert myself into the conversation in order to do my own bitching, complaing or be better etc etc, but just really trying to get to know them.

Then I learn, they just are really human, like me. They have battled the loss of a loved one, beat cancer "they hope", and then my problems fade into the background. I learn why they are the way they are. They also become more personal and relatable to me.

I think sometimes we (or at least me) judged too soon. However there are some you just cannot talk to, but that aside, I am really amazed and find out hey, this guy lives next door to me. He really is a nice guy, and has had quite a life. I am proud to know him. Geez, he even plays the harmonica like me or... (You would be amazed of what you find in common once you take the time to stop and really listen).
