Please Send a Message to Your Members of Congress - Help the Unemployed

Hello, FC Community Members

Congress is facing a year-end deadline to renew the current federal unemployment insurance extensions, and so far they've done nothing.  If Congress fails to act, millions of unemployed job-seekers will be prematurely cut off from this vital lifeline in 2012.  Nearly 2 million jobless Americans will be cut off of these benefits in January alone, and more than 6 million during the coming year.

I've just sent a message to my Members of Congress telling them to renew the unemployment insurance program, and urging them to enact measures to help avert more layoffs, create good jobs and get real help to long-term unemployed workers including those who have exhausted unemployment benefits.

I just recently lost my job and I'm worried that I won't get unemployment since I work in a right to work state and the government usually sides with the employer, I went to the link and signed up. Thanks
