i love my natural hair color

and sometimes I'm curious about what i might look like with another color but why waste my time and money when I look fine the way I am...does anyone else feel this way?

Also i find it funny when these girls have SUPER UGLY highlights and i think to myself -- not only would you save time and money by not getting those highlights, but you would probably look prettier as well -- if you are going to get highlights, get it done right and keep up on it!!!

it's so rare that i hear anyone say they like anything
natural about themselves!  although i've had them, i have
to say that highlights are overrated. you have to be diligent
about your hair to keep up the maintenance, and they DO
look good on people who do...

just today, a co-worker told me she had gained 3lbs.
i immediately thought she was complaining and had to lovingly
roll my eyes at her (she's 90lbs soaking wet) but then she
corrected me and said she's happy with it and that she's trying
to add a few curves. i was impressed!

we all have things we'd like to change, but it's perfectly okay
to LIKE things about yourself

Yes in fact just posted on another similar - I stopped coloring my hair when I started losing the battle to what I thought was going to be gray hair - turns out my hair is a silvery blond color and I get lots of compliments on it.  I am so happy not to be burdened any longer by trying to use a product that I'm not sure is good for you to begin with and after awhile most find they can't keep up with (my roots and sides needed to be touched up almost weekly after awhile) one day just woke up and said enough of this, I will just be happy with what God gives me  and I am.

I like my natural haircolor. I have entertained the idea of coloring it just to see how it would look, but I think the upkeep is too much of a hassle. It seems like colored hair is either one boring shade, or the highlights are totally too obviously unreal.

I didn't dye my hair for years. Mainly because I was too lazy. This year though I took the plunge and dyed my hair a nice dark brown color and a lot of people like it. Makes my blue eyes pop. I was born blonde but over the years my hair my hair turned darker. It's like you can tell I was once blonde but then it lost its pigment, if that makes any sense. Nothing really against my natural hair color but I like the darker color better.

I am right there with you, I have seriously thought about changing my hair color, I have always wondered what I would look like with a different color, and of course do blondes really have more fun?  LOL..Still the same color as brown as I have decided to not take the plunge into the world of haircoloring/highlighting.  Funny thing my sister saw me awhile back which I am the youngest of 5 girls and they all color their hair and she made a comment about my haircolor and how you could never find that in a bottle that she really liked it??  So go figure?  Had she not been coloring hers all these years she might have had the same color?

Yeah, I love my natural hair color too. A couple years ago I experimented with different colors. I'm naturally a "dirty blonde", but I tried going with the bleach blonde look first, and it was waaaaaay to "Barbie-ish" for me. Then I tried to go a little darker than my natural color, and I wasn't happy with that either. So I stopped dying it and I just let it be what it was meant to be, and I love it.

I have been getting highlights for years, and yes it is a lot of upkeep, but to me well worth it....I have thick, very long hair and I get many compliments on it.  I am so much more happier with it my blonde, than my natural brown. I have seen some women with bad highlights and obviously they are going to the wrong stylist.
