I used to work for a phone company, (T-Mobile) I would see this as a content not what requested issue, so if you got charged on your phone bill (you will each and every month until you text back stop) I would call your service provider and request a credit.  Simply tell them that your content was not what you requested and you no longer want the service .  You should get a credit for the charge and be able to call it a wash I guess.
