I know that most fast food places have a toll free number or email address on the back of the receipt. I would have reported the cashier and I bet I would have gotten a voucher for free donuts and coffee. :)

I'll add my 2 cents (pun intended)...He probably thought you wouldn't mind cause it's only 2 cents, but he suppose to give you your change no matter how small.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!! Three dollars for an iced tea?  You should have taken a sip and gave it back.  Then asked for your money. LOL

Now if that were me, I would probably complain until the manager or someone came out. I have done it in the past. Although it was not for .2C, someone had made a mistake in a grocery store for a $1 return of change and the cashier made it look like it was my error. I told them I was not moving out of line until I have seen a supervisor. It doesn't matter if it is .2C or 20$, if they are not competent enough to be running a cash register, they shouldn't be. Now a days it tells you what change to give back anyway!!!

everyone keeps saying its only 2 cents...seems like its not so much the amount of money that was the issue, as it was the way she was treated? if you dont stand up for yourself these days, people will walk all over you, and whos to say next time she went in, he wouldnt try it for a much larger amount..knowing he could get away with it?

Normally I let pennies go, but I they add up so fast...
I cant post the link but there was a guy that saved up 13,000 dollars just by collecting pennies.
