It might be just me but Adele sounds just like K.T. Tunstall. I mean ‘We could have had it all’ reminds me of ‘Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.’ Yes, Adele can sing but it just annoys me that sometimes people are given recording contracts because they sound like someone already out there. That’s why I miss the 90’s—for country music anyway. You knew Mary Chapin Carpenter, Pam Tillis, Tanya Tucker, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire from the first note they sang. Sorry Carrie Underwood, but unless I actually know the song is sung by you I don’t know it’s you.
