new sites are always confusing to me....where do I begon on here....thanks

I suggest using the Tutorial Videos first - they are found on the main page (big blue rectangular button on the right).  They are pretty thorough and give you a good layout of the site so you can navigate, plus give some good intro tips for how to get started.

After that, I recommend checking out the "Offers" forum where people often post easy offers one can complete, as well as post about offers that seem to have difficulty crediting - so if you don't get credited, you know you're not alone (it happens).

There is also a category of daily offers that are pretty easy to get going with! They are not worth as much as some of the others, but you can complete those once per day. There is also a newsletter that you can sign up for
