What do you miss about your weekends?

What is the perfect thing todo to get away for the weekend either by yourself or with your family. When i was younger every weekend me my brother his girlfriend and their son we use all go out to eat for breakfast every saturday morning maybe spend the whole day out with each other. sometimes we use to go to the movies maybe shopping saturday was like family day. while on sunday we sleept we cleaned and we cook depending on what the situation was sometime we use to go over to out moms house for our big family dinner i totaly miss those days. so what do you miss about the old weekends you use to have??

I just miss the people that are gone now mostly. I have lost allot of dear friends and I think of them often. Some times I hear a song that will remind me of one of them or smell a scent that brings back a memory and it feels like they are some how still with me.  I always say what I feel to those that are still alive because you never know if this may be the last time you ever see someone you love.

Thats deep, i completly understand were your coming from. my father died when i was young and i remember everything about him. i remeber one day i was the house i smelt his cologne it kinda caught me off guard in a way but that just told me he came to visit me and to let me know he's ok.

I really miss having my weekends to myself. I used to drop my kids off with thier grandparents for the weekend and just enjoy my free-time. Now I've taken on the responsibility to be a full-time mother to my step-kids because they were being mis-treated. I guess is worth it not to see a child abused but I think that mayb a little time to myself wouldn't hurt.

I miss sleeping in.  My kids never sleep in, no matter how late they go to bed. 
Oh, and I miss spending time with my grandma and brother.  When we were growing up, we would go to her house and play games all weekend.  It was the only time my brother and I didn't fight (much).

     I miss my weekend get away because of the high gas prices at the pump, I can no longer take long trips.

I also miss having the ability to take day or full weekend trips. Now it just seems far too exspenive.

I miss hiking with a group of friendly hikers and heading to the libraries in the weekends. Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to have the weekends free for myself again.

Sitting on my patio drinking coffee and feeling the warm sun and cool breeze on my face early morning.

I miss the girld being small.When they were little we would go to the mountains or somewhere to do all the time.Now that they're grown and have lives of there own.We don't see them much anymore.
