Are you willing?

With all the contributing factors causing the gas prices to rise.  Are you willing to give up driving a fossil fuel vehicle for one day?  I know I am looking forward to the development of all electric vehicles in the future.

You'll be happy when gas is over $5.00 a gallon, I bet. >:( No, I would not give up my gas-powered car for one day and get one run by a pinwheel (or whatever Al Gore thinks up this week).

I only work at my day job 3 days a week, on a 4th day I will trip it to the grocery store and pay the bills, so I only drive 4 out of 7 days.  It would be easy for me to give up my car for a few days....so long as I wouldn't miss work.  In fact, I am thinking about getting a moped for the summer months to save on gas costs.

I think we need to work on making the cars we have already be more efficient and if it means turning them into hybrids or full on electric cars then so be it.

I find it hard to believe that we could send a man to the moon and back yet can't find a suitable energy replacement for fossil fuel. I think we should put our brightest minds on the issue and come up with a long term solution. With all that is happening in Japan I don't think nuclear will be a viable option.

The death of nuclear power will be from wall street, not from people protesting it.  Investors are going to be very wary of making the investment with the high risks of death and injury that could result in major lawsuits!

I'm willing to try with the economic energy saving car. Only problem how are americans going to afford this clean investment?  Wouldn't  it be so great if we got rid of middle east strong hold over the US dependence on their oil. It would take a great undertaking in the US. Gas stations would be remodeled into electronic stations. We would have to change our minds on our how we use this new energy method.
