Economic woes

I understand that our country lives on a budget and things we cant afford should be cut, but cutting education is the wrong way to go. How can our children get the jobs of tommorrow without being trained? What do you think?

I believe your right.im having a hard time still getting  a job and I have my education.

I tend to agree that cutting education is the wrong signal to send.  But the quality of the education should not be a factor as much as the quanity of it.  So maybe cutting some of the education benefits and making it more of a local issue instead of a national issue is what is taking place.  But I honestly believe that education and raising a child is a parents responsibility not the governments.

I agree that education is important but the quality is much more important than quantity. Cutting the number of school days isn't an issue but firing teachers, increasing classroom size and decreasing educational resources are areas that need improvement. If children want to learn they will learn. Forcing a topic down their throats doesn't make them learn it makes them resent it. Children need to be involved in their education and have choices about their class selection.
