In honor of this day, I wanted to share a random fact I learned today.  The reason President Truman's middle initial is S. (and he's the only
president to have just an initial as a middle name) is because his parents couldn't come to a consensus on the names Solomon and Shippe...
two family names, so they decided to compromise...any one have any interesting facts??? Cheers!

George Washington was the only President of The United States who did not live in The White House.  Construction of the White House was completed after Washington's death.

PRESIDENTS John Adams (d. July 4, 1826), Thomas Jefferson (d. July 4, 1826), and James Monroe (d. July 4, 1831) all died on the 4th of July; Calvin Coolidge was born on that day (b. July 4, 1872). Both Adams and Jefferson departed this physical world on the same day.
