I lived on the Gulf for a few years. Beach front. Great experience! loved crabs, when it got cold like 30 degrees - I wadded out
up to my neck to throw my crab traps out. it was some kind of cold, but I caught many crabs and we ate like kings.. they were
so good. I lived near the Galveston ferry - love the ferry. Even though the Gulf is full of oil slicks, I love it. But I was born & raised
in Texas. Have visited Bahamas 3 times. love the water there too.  :angel12: just love the water, don't care where I guess?

Well, that is tough question  :dontknow:  I have been to both of them plenty of times.  I live in NC right now and we go the beach (Atlantic) about once a month.  The water is colder in the Atlantic than it is in the Pacific.  I also use to live in Hawaii (four years) and the Pacific was so warm.  So, to answer your question, I guess I have to go with the Pacific because the water is much warmer.  However, I like the Atlantic waters for fishing.  The fish are so much better eating when they come from the cold waters of the Atlantic.  But, again, the Pacific is my number one choice.

I live in Maine so I have to go with the Atlantic, even though it is cold but i was in South Carolina once and the beaches and ocean water there are warm and beautiful.   My vote ATLANTIC. :peace:

I used to live in California an hour and a half from the beach so I would have to say the Pacific ocean. I live in Texas now and it takes about 10 hours to get to the beach from where I live. I miss California for that reason only. Well, and the fact that is where all my family still is. Plus, Pismo Beach, where I used to go to is one of the few beaches in the country that you can still drive on. A nice drive on the beach, stopping at your leisure, is a wonderful thing.

I have heard that the waters in the Atlantic are warm.  But I am sure they are not as warm as the waters in the Fiji Islads.  The water there was PERFECT.  Don't believe me, then take a trip and find out.

Having lived on the Pacific coast and the Atlantic coast I will have to say that I like both of them for their specific qualities they have.

can't remember when I was on Atlantic Beaches, so would have to say Pacific...especially if you go across the world to like NZ and Australia....
