Suicide, sadly.  I've never bought into the "Courtney Love killed him!" conspiracy theories.  Kurt was one depressed dude.

I agree with that.  I think that a lot of very artistic people suffer from mental illness like depression or bi-polar disease.  If you research it you will find a lot of very bright people also suffer.  I think that the raw edge of the music of people like Kurt Cobain come from living in a type of hellish world.  Their music feels kind of dark and I think that is how he felt.

He was completely messed up but I don't think he would have killed himself.. although when you do those kinds of drugs, anythings possible.. Its a shame though, he had some crazy awesome lyrics, and now courtney's got em. and making money off him..

It's either drugs, alcohol, depression, or something that causes them to die young like the king of pop or king of rock n roll, etc.  They lived fast and die young.  Looks like lady GG from the 60 min segment is headed on the same path.  She's young, rich & famous, and living the fast life of drugs and alcohol.

he really was depressed and with good reason. he had everything going for him, but his life still sucked. He really could have killed himself, i dont blame him turning to drugs. he just wanted to feel good and feel like everything would be ok, even if the feeling only lasted a few hours.

Im suspicious of courtney though because she didnt moarn his death like expected. it seemed like all she cared about was getting the money and all of his belongings. maybe she had someone else do it?

Some people say that he had so much drug in his system that it wouldnt have been possible to have commited suicide even if he wanted to. he should have died from the over dose, but died from the gun shot wound. maybe he was in the process of killing himself and courtney or someone else shot him? maybe he was having such a bad day that he thought he would feel better if he gave himself a little bit more of his drug, and that little bit more that he gave himself caused an over dose?
