Do your ears ever get hot for no reason?

:dontknow:There are times that my ears get burning hot for no reason, still have not found a reason "why" for this but there is an old wives tale that goes along with that symptom I'm just trying to remember it!(LOL!)

Hmm I've never heard of that. Mine get hot when I'm embarrassed or when I've been laying on it for a while, but those are the only reasons for me.

The only time that happens to me is when I blush from embarrassment; it never happens spontaneously.

Isn't the old wives tale that if you're ears are burning someones talking about you?

I don't think it has ever happened to me. I'm pretty sure I would feel if my ears were hotter all of the sudden. Maybe it's something psychological? Or do they actually feel hot to the touch?

I keyed this into Google and came up with various answers.  The 2 that most made sense was to check your blood pressure and blood sugar levels.  Talk to your physician and see what he says.  It also stated something along the lines of hormonal changes also, like during a pregnancy.  Emotion changes too.

yes! it hasn't happened in a really long time,
but i can remember a few times when my ears suddenly
got very hot, red, and itchy...

maybe they were chapped from being out in the cold
or something? but i definitely know what you're talking
about. i have my cartilage pierced and my ear was
pissed off at me for a few days after i had it done...
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Sometimes when I don't have enough sleep, my ears get hot. I hate it when it happens.
