I would love to see you handle a child in their "terrible 2's".  Guess what, all of that love and god crap go right out the door when your child is on a rampage at the steak house!!!

You can still love a child and discipline them... in fact, you discipline them because you love them.  I believe you can't know real love until you have a child, honestly.  Don't get me wrong, I love my husband, and would give my life for him, but I'd trade him in a heartbeat for my child.  She is a part of me that no one else can ever be.

You may think that all kids are not the screaming at the steak house type, but every child does it at least once.  Two year olds don't scream because they're bad or ill behaved, but because they have a limited means of communicating and understanding at that age.  Anyone that would look down on a parent because their toddler takes a screaming fit needs to be taken down a notch or two, IMO.

It depends entirely on what kind of love we're talking about.  To me, there are different kinds of love.  One might love a child, but love for a child is not the same as love for one's spouse or significant other.  And one might love a friend as a brother or sister but that is yet a different kind of love.  Finally, I would also say there is love for God.  I believe all are possible, personally, but the distinction should be made before one says "Love is possible" or "Love isn't possible."

I definitely believe love exists and if someone cheats on someone it's because they're not getting the love or the attention they need at home or simply they just want to experience being with someone new because they're tired of all the monotony. I'm not defending anyone who cheats because I for one have never cheated but you got to think like a cheater to catch a cheater. If you know what I mean. As far as disciplining a child, there's nothing wrong with that. You just can't hit them to the point where you're leaving bruises on them. Just a light tap usually gets a child to listen to you right away. Depending on the kid's personality with just one angry look and they'll listen to you and that way you'll never have to hit them. Yes Love does exist. If it didn't then we wouldn't cry at a loved one's funeral or women wouldn't cry tears of joy when their child is born.

We all can love.  Teaching our children differences between right and wrong is hard.  I have 2 girls.  One of then you raise your voice and she will stop what she is doing and will most of the time hear what you have to tell she what she did wrong.  My other daughter a little slap on the hand and then she will pay attechen to what you have to say but with out that little sting she will just keep doing it then look at you and laugh.  When a parent does spank it can still be with a loving touch.  If it is harder then just a sting then it is too hard.

Love is somthing out there that if you look too hard for it you will never find it.  The love that you feel for each person is different.  Like I like to say you can not like your parents but you still love them.  The love emotion is out there and some mistake lust or many other things for love.  When a person does get to feel what real love is then they truely know.  The idea that a person does not know what love is until they have a child is a joke.  The love I have felt is been from many different types.  The love a co-workers and friends who hold you up when your down.  The love of parents that no matter what you do they still will help you out.  The love of a woman that you can just sit with the person and feel that connection like the two of you are the only ones around even if you are surrounded by everyone.  The love of a child that no matter how you feel and how much you think you do not deserve will always come up and make feel better no matter what just happened.

I definitely agree that there are different types of love.  No love I have ever felt, though, has even been near to the love I feel for my child...that is what I meant when I said you don't know real love until you have a child.  My daughter is a part of me that no other person will ever be, and I feel for her what I feel for no other person in the world.  She is my number one, and will always be.

Yeah I don't agree with that.

You don't have a child.

I don't agree with it because I do know true/real love. This topic was aimed at atheist to ask them a question about love.

The love you feel for your child is a different kind of love than you feel for a partner, same with family. it love tru love but it not the same, to say it is  is well kinda grosss

Sexual relations is not a type of love, sorry. Love is Love. Besides have you ever heard that people love themselves? I think the love of yourself is alot more True/Real. Face it, even though you have kids, you still care more about yourself.

No your wrong. Its a whole different kind of love. If your son or daughter says mommy who do you love more me or daddy? the answer is simple its a different kind of love i feel for daddy

You want to freakin' argue this. You're wrong, admit that you come before anyone else, that is just normal. Therefore if there is any kind of True love then it would be for your self. Think about it, you're stuck with yourself. People get divorced/cheat/remarry..Disown children/stop talking to them and so on...you can't leave yourself and by nature will continue to take care of yourself no matter what.

Umm random much... and someone people may do that But Im not one of them I would never do that to my husband or my son thank you very much CB
