My really happy Christmas memory is when I was a kid.  I often think about the good times we always had at Christmas.  Stuffing yourself with food, different types of desserts and just being together as a family.  Since I have been an adult, I have never had those feelings or even felt a little merry on that very special day.

To me, Christmas is a celebration of Christ's birth.  It is a joyful time of the year, spent with family and friends.

MY BEST CHRISTMAS MEMORIES ARE WHEN MY HUSBAND WOULD DRESS UP AS SANTA AND CLIMB UP ON THE ROOF TO GET THE CHILDREN ATTENTION!!

my parents made SURE that our christmas was magical.
thinking back, i was so (and still am) so lucky for that.

my dad would sneak somewhere outside after my brother
and i had went to bed on christmas eve and he would
shake jingle bells way out in the backyard, just enough
so we could hear them in the distance. they REALLY had
us fooled for years! i still wonder sometimes, i really do...

the "from santa" handwriting was always different on our
presents and santa even used the old, vintage looking
paper while they used the bright, cutesy kind.

christmas is still magical to me because of them  ;D

i loved when i was little and would come down christmas morning and my parents would tell me i had just missed santa and would prove it by showing me a polaroid of some set up of a black boot going out our window or through the doggy-door. i loved it so much that even when i was old enough to notice that the boot in the picture was my dad's.  ;D
now as a parent, my husband and i do that for our kids, like last year we wrapped a santa hat around the top of a boot to look like his pants and set it up in the fireplace and took a picture with our cell phones to share with the kids

Most of my memories of Christmas growing up are being together with your family and enjoying each other.  My husband and I have made a point of doing the same with our kids!     Its not about what presents you get!     Its about it being the day Jesus was born!
