Thanks Giving Dinner this all depend where you are in the country and how much you have in the wallet. Turkey is the base meat with stuffing. Along with rice and any kind of beans or peas, not forgetting the greens and vegs all kinds., sweet yams.  mac and cheese. Salads and of the course the sweets. The pies and cakes, wine and beer if you drink, topping it of with the family and giving thanks to your most high.

I'm cooking ham, yams, rice & peas, apple pie, potato salad, and a macaroni pie.

I always cook turkey, ham, potato salad, sweet potatoes, green beans, baked beans, corn, maked own cranberry salad, coconut cake, hummingbird cake, yeast rolls, always like it when whole family get together.

Cranberry sauce an mashed potatoes w/ gravy! I'm the only 1 that ends up the cranberry sauce, which is fine with me cuz I get to have it all to myself!

For me is Thanksgiving dinner itself.  Although I am of hispanic ethnic and we add our own dishes to the meal, for example besides the mash potatoes we need to have some rice, that is a most for us, we also have plantains always.  And the way we make it is:  we decide WHO is having dinner at their house this year, and then we divide the cooking into everybody who is coming, every family brings a dish.  The hosting family will have the most cooking but everybody contributes to the dinner table.  I make a mean turkey myself and always falls on my family to bring it.

I don't cook Thanksgiving anymore since my son left home.  Sometimes I get together with him and the fam.  This year it's going to be me, and my 2 favorite male friends.  We're having Thanksgiving dinner out.  I'm not crazy about turkey so will have prime rib or something like that.  We'll go back to my house for dessert and coffee later though.

I don't think I am cooking anything for Thanksgiving this year.  Just not in the mood and feeling really depressed.
