I pick them up all the time myself.  But the one thing I do when I pick them up is give a thank you and I remember and I hear you.  See if you know what I'm talkin about.  Look at the coins read what is on top! 

I don't like to use the coinstar b/c you have to pay to use the machine.  If you roll it yourself its free by taking it to the bank.  Just place your sticky address labels on each roll and the bank will take them they will even give the the little papers to roll the change.      

Wow, you don't get taxed for rolling them & bringing it to your bank?!!!! Lucky you, here in FLA. my bank tax me .10 & the publix machine tax me .8. Sighhhhh....

Dont take your money to CoinStar...They rip you off...They charge 10cents on the dollar so that means ever 10 dollars you put in, they give you 9 dollars.  Here is what you do. Go to your bank and ask for some coin rolls.  Go home, roll them yourself and then take the rolls back to the bank and swap them for CASH.  There is no fee for this.

I don't believe in superstition. but I still kick it over and put it on heads then pick it up, don't know why, habit I guess.

we save every extra penny that we can come up with. I found a $20 bill on the ground the other day but even if the bill would have been $1, i would have picked that up too
