native american registration?

my uncles been talking about helping me and my siblings getting registered. but he has not tried to attempt and i would really like to could anyone tell me how to go about this please. i would really appreciate it

From what I understand and the route I am going to do this you need to get prove of your native American Heritage. Such as myself I am trying to track down here my grand parents were registered as Cherokee, but the only one who knows they had cards is my Uncle and he is in his in hisl late 70s so an not remember specifics.

The other way you can get proof is to pay to take a DNA test.

Hope that helps a bit. If you know who to start with it makes it easier.

I am having the same problem? I know that my great great great grandmother was a full blooded cherokee, but my grandpa passed away when i was 6 and he was the only way that i woud know her name. Noone else does not know.

I would think if your uncle knew that your grandparents had cards, that you could contact the Bureau of Indian Affairs and someone might be able to help you there.

That is what I thought I just dont have time to call. I am at work when they are open. Going to have to check into it a bit more.
