Anyone do Decorative Painting?
« on: September 25, 2010, 01:31:18 pm »
I like decorative painting very much, but I'm not very good at it, especially OneStroke techniques. Somehow my brush strokes don't come out the same as the sample. But I think my finished paintings are pretty good. I mostly like to do Christmas ornaments.

a few years ago, i took a class on decorative painting.
it was just an introduction/beginner class and we mostly
practiced flower petals and simple shading techniques...

it was interesting to see how simple some things are made.
i love art and all kinds of media, but this surprisingly wasn't
something i picked up or did much of. i mean, i've used the
basic techniques in some of my own creations, but i think i
gave my books away...

it was fun though :)
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]
