Parents-To-Be
« on: September 01, 2010, 01:17:04 pm »
Lets make this topic giving tips to parents-to-be.  If someone could have given me a tip before becoming a new mom, I wish it would have been not to waste my money on toys.  My child mainly wants to read books, do puzzles occasionally, listen to music, and color.  So if you are gunna buy toys, take one of those picks.  I have tons of toys that just sit there - all that money, wasted.

This may sound strange but I found a song and started singing it to my daughter before we brought her home from the hospital.  Then, if I needed to calm her down, ie shots and etc, I sang this song to her and it worked.

And naked time!  Best prevention for diaper rash.  Plus it helps with bladder control.

My advice to parents to be,,,, all children are different if one of your friends had an experience with their child it does not mean you will have the same one. And trust your motherly instincts over all being said to you.

Me and my girlfriend found out that we may not be able to have child due to PCOS, which is hard because we really wanted to have a baby in the near future
