Religion and heritage

i have been in alot of religion forums and i have a question. i am 1/2 native american. i dont know alot about the beliefs because i was not raised in that setting but i do know a bit. But to the ones who believe everyone should believe in God, and those who think believing in anything is retarded. Where do people stand like native americans or wiccans, where they believe in mother nature, that mother earth and the spirits will take care of them? I'm really curious. Because this makes me firmly believe in what i believe in. I think it all boils down to our heritage. Does believing in what appears to be more then one God makes you a retard (didnt know what word to use to put point across, this one seems wrong) or wrong?

i really want to know others' opinion on this. 
it will not change my opinions.
but i have always wondered this because noone seems to bring up that maybe heritage has alot to do with what someone believes in.

Native Americans and Wiccans aren't trying to take over the world with any religious dogma...so I respect them.  I still don't agree these beliefs are based in reality, but at least they're not actively infringing on the rights of society at large.  If religion has to exist at all, it should follow this example.

I can tip my hat to anyone who believes in looking at the world at large and does not push their beliefs on others (or else!). I'm with Queen on the rational ideals though. But this is definitely an interesting system.

Aahh - I was hoping someone would respond - it definitely is an attention getting piece of information.
It's not fearmongering as you put it.  The muslims are on the rise, with their number one agenda being to overpopulate, mix in, take over.
There is a meeting set for Oct. 15 on Capitol Hill.  The main theme is "This is our moment; Muslim youth on the rise") (http://www.islamoncapitolhill.com/ ) - it looks so American and sweet, but there is the bigger picture down the road of their real goals.)

There is as much difference between contemporary nu-age make-it-up-as-you-go, and traditional sprituality as there is night and day.

tradish? No i am not im just curious. i dont know alot about my heritage because my father refuses to share. i know very little because my uncle sneaks it in when my father is either not around or sswayed to our hertage. Im just curious. i want  to know where religions like native americans come in? i hate seeing heritage get washed down the drain. i believe we should know alot more then we do about it. and i hate seeing post like Native Americans do not have a religion. how would they know? they are probably not native. they werent around natives to know a damn thing about their religon. My uncle is really into his heritage. thats tthe only reason i know a little.  i have been always wanted to know more because my father says i should be proud of it, but then he doesnt tell me a thing and says i shouldnt dig into it. How hypocritical can you get? I just want to further my knowledge on it.  i have been told by alot of posters that you, walks, would be able to help on alot of Native American topics.
