Question for everyone who did the Poetry.com offer

Hi everyone. I was wondering if you recieved anything in the mail from them. I recieved a packet today telling me mine was chosen for publication and that my work is a semi finalist. they sent me a form to sign stating it's my original work. dont' know what to make of this, anyone else?

That happened to me, but with the one of the Photo offers.  My picture was chosen as a finalist, but I had to pay a certain amount of money to get the book that the picture was going to be published in.  lol   Needless to say - picture wasn't published and I don't have the book.  lol

Read the fine print - if it doesn't cost you anything, then Congratulations!!!!

it says i can purchase the book it's going to be in if i chose to but that it's not mandatory to remain in the contest

I got the email saying I am a semi-finalist also.  Wonder if everyone did??!!

Yea they always do that. The poems arent even reviewed. I had tried to put a poem up a few years ago and only submitted half of it b/c my computer was messing up. Needless to say, I had stopped typing in the middle of a word, so the poem made no sense, and I recieved the same packet in the mail. Its just a way for them to try to get people who want there stuff published badly and dont know much about the site to pay for it.
