Ok I just did the Kobo ebooks offer for $5  i searched for the cheapest book "Confessions of a shopaholic"  its $0.89  then i did a search for kobo coupons  I found $1 off harlequin books. so I got it for FREE!  plus, I get the $5 for completing the offer - nice $5 for 15min of my time - woo hoo!

On the first page, click on the tab that says "Daily."

It is really up to you.  I don't do anything that requires my Credit Card.  It is wise not to sign up for something if you are going to cancel the trial offer before you are charged.  That makes those that give offers to FC not want to do it anymore.  I do the daily ones, the forum and posting my payment.  If you do the daily, keep trying if you do not qualify, you might as you keep trying.
