What do you normally do when you feel sick?! Any trick other than resting or taking medicine?!

Depends on if I'm nauseous or not.  If so, I stick to 7-up and saltine crackers.  If not, I drink lots of water (I try to drink a glass an hour minimum) - most virus/bacteria don't like "moist" environments.  Eat hot soup (broth based like chicken, turkey, vegetable - not cream - and may add some garlic salt or powder) - if I have congestion I add a little cayenne pepper to the soup.

Also, I keep warm - as hot as I can stand it.  If I'm running a fever, I don't take anything to reduce it unless it starts getting higher than 102 degrees F - reason, is your raised temperature is actually killing the virus/bacteria off - if you kill the fever, you may be prolonging your illness (but if your fever gets too high, that is bad for you too - most common colds won't spike much higher than 102 for most people, those that do usually require outside help).  That's why keeping warm helps too - raising your body temperature via external heat or fever will help (and also why you need lots of water).

I also "talk" to the cold and tell it I don't have time to be sick - and that now it's war.  I tell my white blood cells to "seek and destroy" the virus/bacteria - whatever is trying to make me sick.  I don't give in, thus the illness doesn't stick around long.  I believe there's a lot of power in this - if you think this way, you are more likely to fight the illness and do whatever it takes to provide your body with what it needs to fight vs giving in to the illness and being out for 2 weeks.

Hope whatever you have isn't bad - good luck in the fight!

I add tobasco sauce to my chicken soup, mmmmm it really makes a person feel better if it's like a cold or something.

Depends on my symptoms.  If I feel like I am catching a cold I start drinking lots of fluids to flush it out.

Thanks everyone for your responding.... :)
I wasn't feeling too good and just mixed feeling of dizzy, headache, sleepness, heart pain, so I wonder how others will do when they feel sick.
All the information are very helpful, I will try some next time.
And yes, I have been feeling better and hope it will stay that way from now!! :)

Medicine doesn't really help unless it is an antibiotic. It only just masks the symptoms. To get rid of a virus, you must have lots of rest and drink lots of water.

Honestly - I have not been to a doctor in years (knock on wood).  I drink green tea when I get the sniffles and feel under the weather.  I enjoy sweating it out as well with a good workout and drinking plenty of fluids to get it out of my system.  Has worked great so far : )
