yes, I always use cinnamon on oatmeal to give it some taste, and sometimes cinnamon/sugar on lightly buttered toast is a easy fix for something sweet without being too sweet.

I had no idea cinnamon packed nutrient value....I just thought it was a flavoring.

I might try the cinnamon added to coffee.....I'm not a big fan of plain coffee.

Didn't know and thanks for the info. I had just finished French toast drenched in cinnamon when I read that, so I guess I'll be healthy for today!

I read on the back of a cereal box that cinnamon is the dried inner bark of a redwood tree!

Geez...wouldn't you know it.....I'm allergic to Cinnamon.  Also to basil.  Changed my sugar intake to honey a couple months ago.  Was the best move.  I'm learning to bake with it, and it's great in just about everything.  Made a rub for the Tri Tip (seasoned salt, parsley, garlic powder).  After rubbing it all over the meat, I drizzled honey on it, and roasted it.....Yummmm :P
