Lovely: Spam prevention software @ Survey Panel Group
« on: December 17, 2007, 09:18:21 pm »
I've been to a few sites that had smart entry type things (where it corrects you if your information doesn't match).  Always in the past I became aware of them because they don't accept my phone number since the area code isn't from the area I live in.  This particular site, The Survey Panel Group, however is saying that my address... the one I live at... the one I receive mail at every day, is not a valid US address.  It wont let me complete the offer no matter how I type (I tried spelling out the abbreviation for St, added the city/state removed state left city.. etc)  So anyway, I just wanted to let other people know that there was a possibility of this happening to them on this particular site.

I'm so glad that they pointed this out to me.  I will have to go to the post office tomorrow and demand to know why I am living at an address that isn't a valid US address!  How could they have let that slip through their system?  I'm glad there is the failsafe software employed by websites such as Survey Panel Group to point out this error to me!  To think I would have lived here for years without realizing that my address doesn't actually exist!  Phew.

Man, that is frustrating!  But you are hilarious!  Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer wants to cancel all his mail and Newman goes crazy because "no one cancels their mail!"

I have had the same problem.  I live in a mobile home park and have for close to 2 years now.  It tells me it is a business address.  Ah, duh, it is a mobile home park.  I receive my mail here and I have had the same problem with my phone number.  The area code is in the same place that I live but they tell me that my phone number is not valid.  If that is the case, then how can I continue to receive phone calls on it and receive mail at my house that is "supposed" to be strictly a business? That gets aggravating because it wont let you finish the survey.  Someone needs to fix that thing.

I fill your frustration as this kept happening to me also, and my husband told me to go get our cable bill and type it just as they had it on there and the crazy thing is on all the sites I kept typeing out Highway but I guess my actual address the way the p.o. must have it it is just Hwy, so their systems could not find it! I had no clue anytime I sent something I always spelled it out and I just thought that was how it was suppose to be, but since I changed it I havent had any problems at all!!  So I would try looking at something like that and see if it works, I know its silly that such a slight change could make the differance but it worked for me! :dontknow:
