It says "no CC needed" but they still ask for one, why?

Clicking on the free/ no Credit Card needed, but when filling out the form it asks for a credit card. Why are those listed under free/no CC needed?

Huh...maybe it's a free offer but they are wanting you to cover the shipping costs only...possibly? If that is the case, be careful. Once a company gets your card number in their files, they may try and charge your card without your permission. I would move on to another free offer. All of them are not like that.

Yeah, there was no way I was going to give them my credit card # so I did move on from those. One of them was the Equifax offer.  Thanks anyway though.
