I don't believe in it, but it used to be a fun thing to do with my kids. Get up on Feb. 2 and look to see if it was sunny or not and then talk about the ground hog seeing his shadow.

I don't really believe in it because there are too many factors involved in predicting weather and you can't base it on what any 1 particular animal does....BUT my prediction is that he will see his shadow and we will have another 6 weeks of winter :(

You have to wonder how the idea of Ground hog day started.  I have never understood the concept either seeing or not seeing his shadow.  Another old wives tales that probably started back in the 1800's then put in the almanac as gospel.

Apparently the groundhog is only accurate about 30% of the time....plus, with global warming and such,
weather is unpredictable and becoming even more so....

I loved Groundhog Day! Bill Murray cracked m-... oh you mean the actual Groundhog Day!
Well, I'm all up for seeing the groundster checking out his/her shadowy self.

That groundhog is in there so confused, he don't even know what the weather is going to be like. Our fault for messing up the planet.

ground hog is wrong more than right according to my local weather man right only 39% of the time so lets hope he's wrong again and spring will be early
