Can someone explain kids to me? LOL
 Can you tell me why it is such a big deal if I talk to a guy? But my sorry ex got remarried just two months after our divorce was final and that was okay with  my son. My daughter won't have anything to do with her father. What am I missing here. Kids are 16 and 14.

Who can explain what they are thinking.  I went through the same thing with my son.  His father that cheated on me and treated us like dirt can do no wrong but I who struggled to give him what he needed and most of what he wanted was the bad guy.  I wish I had the answer but I don't.  I know they are hurt and somehow blame you for not being able to keep everything perfect.

we hurt the people that are around us more.   You are there, so you are the one that gets lashed out at.  When they grow up and become parents themselves, they will know and apppreciate that you were there for them.

your son may be being protective of you whle your daughter is staying loyal. I remember when my mom started dating again.......I was not a nice person at that age

Im sorry to hear that your daughter is going through a rough time. I don't know what she is thinking. But if I may make a suggestion, You & your daughter should go out do a little bounding and maybe she will open up to you so you two can discuss this new person in her life. I think that might help and I know as I was growing up I loved when my mom would speak to me one on one about subjects that I didn't or could not control a little advice from a mom goes a long way. I hope the best for your daughter as well as you.
