referral links and the rules

I am a little confused about referral links and the rules.    I have read them more than once.  If I write about buying something from such and such a site or selling something on such and such a site, is that considered a referral link.   Am I breaking the rules?  Because I sometimes want to write about the fun of buying jewelry grab bags from a specific site or the frustrations about selling some jewelry from a specific site but I do not want to do it if I am breaking the rules.

I also have a question about the referral links dos and donts.  If I want to share a great site where I found great sales on common items am I allowed to list the website or tell people to e-mail me and give my e-mail so I can reply with the website?  What is the rule on this?

I just hang in there and never give up. Believe me, I have had more surveys come up empty than most have, I just keep swinging. I also get a lot of referrals.
