Who's your pick for the next President of the US?

Hmm...Tim Ryan (Ohio-D). From what I've seen, he's very fierce in his arguments and gets his point across extremely well. He has a very strong sense of justice and does not take crap from anyone-- he confronts his opposition directly. He's moderately young too which always helps and he's been re-elected 3 times so far (all land-slides).

I know I will probably get alot of hate for this, but I think our next president should be agnostic or atheist. Part of the reason the US is as screwed up as it is now is because the government doesn't seem to understand the concept of "Separation of Church and State" and why it is so important.

Count me on this one. If a candidate is stoic enough to say this, it would earn him major points with me.

Chances are Palin will win the primaries and will run against Obama

I will move out of the country if Palin were to get any higher than she already has been.

at very least Ive always thought he would make an excellent V.P. or Surgeon General... I used to listen to Love Line religiously and his insights and knowledge of Americans and their habits is astounding. Im not sure how he would fare in the political arena, but his no nonsense straight forward way of dealing with problems is refreshing and very intuitive. Im sure he'd have trouble with certain global/foreign issues, but Im very sure many health care and social problems would be put on the fast track to being solved

I think it's too early to say.  We should see what issues we face come next election and choose the right person to help resolve them.

If Obama continues the way he's been going this first year...I'm very tempted to say Howard Dean should primary him, or at least strongly threaten it.

And I say this as someone who worked tirelessly to get Obama elected.  His embrace of illegal Bush/Cheney policies has really ticked me off, he's surrounded himself with Goldman Sachs/Citigroup/etc. robber barons, and this supposed health care "reform" of his is nothing more than a huge giveaway to the insurance companies.

This Obama is decidely *not* the one I voted for.

Honestly, I think Obama is doing a great job. Anyone coming in after Bush had a lot to of mess to clean up. We won't actually see the benefits of Obama until the fourth year. You can't expect things to change immediately. I honestly don't think he cares to run again though. Palin should kiss it goodbye though.  If she were to win we would all be in big trouble. She can barely control what's going on in her own household, yet alone a whole country. I have no one in mind right now as for who I would like to see in office. I guess someone who can relate to everyone from rich to poor, black to white, young and old. And personally I think we have that now.

i totaly agree, at least this current president is doing something about our screwed up health care system, and trying to establish relationships with other countries.. like you said it is going to take time..
