toss cheerios in the toilet and treat it like a game ;) tell him to aim for the cheerios. I swear by this method. I have two boys.

My four year old son started doing something similar ,he refused to go in bathroom by hisself and after several discussions we found he had hid behind door and watch some of a scary movie his uncle was watching and thought something was coming out of pott to get him, weeks later and much patience he now goes by hisself start by offering to go in bathroom with head turned till you gradually work you way out completely with plenty of encouragement, and good luck! :angel12:

My youngest daughter was not potty trained till she was 4. We fought, pulled out our hair and everything in between. As she understood and knew, (as she would use sometimes but not always)! I went on Pull Ups.com and signed up to get a free potty training dvd for both the child and parents. My daughter loved it, the dvd has games songs and important stuff for parents to understand. The dvd did it for us. But remember the rule, Children will go when they are ready. Good Luck its stressful.
