Do not believe it! Fitness (strength) is power.
Do not forget: Survival of the fittest!

It sounds like to me that the only reason they are going to the gym is to meet members of the opposite sex.  They are using the gym like a dating service.

My answer would be that is a lie. I go to work out only. My Son is single and he goes to the gym three times a week. He only works out and does not try to hook up with anyone.

Were they actually talking to me? If I over heard it, I would ignore it. :-X If they said it to me I would say "You do what you want to do and I'll do what I want to do. I cannot fathom 'hooking up' at a gym."

Or even better; "Leave me alone, pervert." Howzat?  :-\

Hey there! That's an interesting question. Personally, I don't think that going to the gym is just like hooking up.

While both activities can involve physical attraction and socializing, the primary purpose of going to the gym is to improve your physical fitness and health. Of course, there's nothing wrong with making connections with other people at the gym, but that's not the main goal for most people. I think it's important to approach the gym with a focus on your own health and wellness, and to be respectful of others who are there for the same reason. BTW, have you considered learning more about fitness and becoming an expert yourself??  You might want to check out an online personal trainer course to get started!

I prefer to look out of shape at home. lol Not really into going to a gym. I am an introvert and not comfortable in public places.
