Mothers & Kratom

Has anyone had any experience with taking kratom while pregnant? I have done some research and conflicting views but I was hoping to speak with any women who've had experience taking kratom while pregnant. It helps with my anxiety and now that I found out that I am almost six weeks along I have been afraid of the effects if might have on the baby.

Any alternatives and suggestions?

Hey! I've never taken Kratom and have no experience with it, but I wouldn't recommend it, especially during pregnancy. Kratom is not the best thing a human would consume. Kratom consumption produces both stimulant effects (in low doses) and sedative effects (in high doses), which can lead to psychotic symptoms and psychological and physiological dependence. So this is quite bad, especially when you are pregnant. You could find a very good alternative. I think this is an okay subject on the forum.  They are asking for advice.  I do think this is something that you need to ask your OB.  What needs to be taken off is all these ads selling drugs on this site.

Respectfully disagreeing, my feeling is that this is NOT appropriate for the simple reason that it is not a sincere question. It is a fake/staged question posted by a newbie and the response is not meant to be helpful. It is meant to draw people into clicking on a link which is posted in direct violation of the TOS.

I have never taken Kratom and if I were pregnant, I would not take it to be on the safe side. You should talk to your Doctor about it before taking any more.
