What brains games do you enjoy? whether it is a book of games or computer and cell? I like picture picture, number or word fill in crossword puzzles, suduko, 4 pics & 1 word and others.

How useful is it to solve puzzles for adults? after all, these are children's board games, what is the use of them.

Have you noticed that to solve a jigsaw, you use different approaches to solve puzzles since this is a trial and error test? You will also learn how important it is to formulate theories, test hypotheses, and change your views when something goes wrong as planned. These skills can be transferred to work, making you more innovative in solving problems, critical thinking, and adaptive skills.

It is good as you age to do word or other puzzles to help fight against dementia.

I just had a doc appointment and he said to do puzzles and/or other games at least an hour a day. I do jigsaw puzzles, MahJong, Word Search, Solitaire, and a Trivia game. I'm up at 6 and do them 1-1/2 hours to 8 a.m. I've been having a lot of problems with memory and word finding along with knowing what word I want to say but can't remember what it is but know the first letter of the word. I have noticed a difference. I'm not having a lot of "blanks" like I was so it is helping a bit.

My favorite is word seek puzzle books.  I usually buy several at Ollies when I get low on them.  That way I have these books when I need them.

We love to do jigsaw puzzles, and I also do different word games like scrabble or wordgrams. Usually because Swagbucks or inbox dollar sites pay me to play and reach certain levels.
