Diabetic feet
« on: September 30, 2021, 03:28:03 am »
Anyone here have that or know of someone that has it. I was in hospital last year november for foot infection and my blood sugar was at 500. I could have died according to doctor. When i went to hospital the infection spread. he said i came in just in time. Once it reached bone, they would have to consider amputation. Since then, my feet feel numb or heavy with no feeling whatsoever. the redness is gone and still on meds along with metformin and insulin. But the heaviness feeling or numbnesss wont go away. Doc syasy its nerve damage and cant be reversed. Just curious if anyone has the same feelings down there.

Unfortunately I do, along with toenail fungus that seems to be incurable too.

I have a friend that has a sister with diabetes. Her weight wasn't the issue, she has to take care of her feet and cut her toenails always. I hope you feel better. I tell my young granddaughter to take care of your feet every day even without the diabetes.

And that is so true you have to take care of your feet even if you’re big or small

I’ve got diabetes & my ACH level has gone up from 9 to 11 my sugar levels are just too high which leads to a lot off the illnesses associated with diabetes!

My father in law used to have this issue and I know it is a lot of work for family members.
